I thought I had to fit into the mold to be successful...

As a competitive figure skater, my entire life was built around routines and perfection.

I pushed my body to the limit, chasing medals and applause, but behind the scenes, I was battling chronic injuries and a painful relationship with my body.

I was taught that I constantly needed to "change my body" and look "perfect" for the judges to get a better score...

By the time I retired from skating, I was burnt out—physically and emotionally. I thought stepping away would bring relief, but it left a void instead. Who was I without the structure of my training? Without the expectations?​

I turned to fitness to fill the gap. I tried it all—HIIT, endless cardio, strict diets—but nothing stuck. Each workout felt like punishment, a reminder of everything I wasn’t anymore.

One day, on a whim, I took a local Pilates class. The movements felt foreign at first—slow, intentional, and controlled. But as I moved through the flow, something clicked.

For the first time, I felt connected to my body again—not as something to critique or fix, but as something to care for and love.

I left that class feeling stronger, happier, and inspired in a way I hadn’t in years.

That moment set me on a new path.

I got certified as a Pilates instructor and began teaching, first in local studios and then online during the pandemic.

But I didn’t stop there. I wanted to create something bigger—a space where women could move their bodies with love, feel supported by a community, and find strength in their own way.​

I wanted to rewrite the narrative that our bodies aren't beautiful unless ___[fill in the blank]___.​

That’s how Sweaty Studio was born.

It’s not just a workout app or a Pilates class; it’s a lifestyle. A reminder that fitness isn’t about punishing yourself or fitting into someone else’s mold.

It’s about showing up for yourself, celebrating your body, and finding joy in the process.

Today, Sweaty Studio is home to thousands of women who’ve joined me on this journey. Together, we move, we grow, and we thrive—not for perfection, but for progress.
